How to file a complaint against an employee

We strive to deliver the highest level of professionalism to every member of the public, and when we fail to meet that mark, we want to know.

If you want to discuss a concern you have over the way a Rumford Police Department employee handled a situation or wish to file a formal complaint, you should call (207) 364-4551 or go to Police Headquarters and ask to speak with a supervisor. All supervisors are trained and responsible for assisting you in resolving your concerns or helping you to complete the steps and paperwork required to file a formal complaint for internal investigation and ultimate review and action by the Chief of Police.
